About Me

So I’m new to this and perhaps you can already tell that I am not a professional writer.  I’m a later-than-middle-age-guy, a husband of many years and a father of a few.  I grew up in a divorced household.  My parents remarried – Mom had us 4, he had his 5 and we were a diversified Brady Bunch.  At the time of the first blog posting here in WordPress, I had written maybe 12 little short stories.  I call them mini-documentaries as they’re all about my experiences growing up.  I had only published them in Facebook with my friends and family and naturally they “like” them and were encouraging me to write more of them (or else they just wanted to get me the hell out of Facebook).  I thought I’d try my hand at blogging them if for nothing else, to create a public forum to embarrass myself.  I hope folks stumble onto them and “like” them as much as my family and friends.  If you do, then I’ll keep publishing them and if not…..well, you’ll just have to wait for the movie version then.

Enjoy – just trying to entertain or create a diversion for you.  I love comments and notes so don’t be bashful about leaving one against any story that entertains you or sparks a memory.

By the way, my wife thinks I am a geek.  I offer up this picture as a rebuttal – definitely NOT geeky, don’t you agree?

Love this “About”. Welcome to blogging. It takes not a “professional” writer, but a good storyteller with a few words written down for to make the sharing easy. And you’re a fantastic storyteller. I’m happy to follow. And honestly, blogging is overrun by female 30-something’s. Not saying this is bad, but we need more older-than-middle-aged dudes running around giving their insight.
